The Abolition of Man

Somewhere the other day I ran across this copy of C.S. Lewis’ The Abolition of Man on the internet. I never finished it the first time I checked it out from the library. However, I intend to read all of it soon.

Books on the internet are great! Only problem is, I find it very tedious trying to read large amounts of text off the computer screen. I know you can find manuscripts of G. K. Chesterton's Orthodoxy and The Man Who Was Tuesday online. I'm currently trying to read Charles Williams's Descent into Hell, but it's not working out all that well.

I have had the exact same experience. Because of that, I can't agree with all those who say that the internet will be the end of books.

I enjoyed The Man Who was Thursday. It's still listed under "currently reading," but I finished it a couple weeks ago. I need to update that. I had also promised Jim that I'd give a review. Although I'm horrible with reviews/book-reports. Maybe something else.

The Buechner book on your list? What kind of book is it?

The Buechner book is a work of fiction based on St. Godric. I found it interesting. I have read other, non-fiction things by Buechner. He can be very interesting, but can also lean towards being very liberal theologically.
