BassForge plugin UI

One guitar input.
A full bass voice.

BassForge listens to every note you play, tracks the pitch using YIN detection, and generates an octave-down bass voice that follows your playing — note by note. It's not a pitch divider. It's a pitch-aware instrument engine, tuned for the low end.

Every stage is intentional.

INPUT COMP

FET-Style Conditioning

A FET-style gain stage before pitch detection. Levels your playing so the pitch engine tracks cleanly whether you're picking lightly or digging in hard.

PITCH ENGINE

YIN Detection + PSOLA Shifting

YIN pitch detection tracks your exact played note. Granular/PSOLA shifting moves it down an octave with the texture and feel of a real bass — not a frequency divider.

FUZZ

Harmonics for Small Speakers

Phone and tablet speakers can't physically reproduce 40 Hz — but they can reproduce its harmonics. The fuzz adds overtones above the fundamental so the bass registers on any speaker, even when the fundamental itself is below what the driver can move.

VOICING EQ

Four-Band Bass Shaping

HPF at 35 Hz cuts rumble. Body boost at 100 Hz. Mud notch at 300 Hz. High-shelf tame at 3 kHz. Four points dialed in for sub-bass output.

SPECTRUM

Live FFT Display

A 2048-point real-time spectrum view with a pitch indicator line so you can see exactly what BassForge is tracking and outputting, moment to moment.

HPF / LPF HANDLES

Draggable Filter Range

Drag the HPF and LPF triangle handles directly on the spectrum to sculpt the band BassForge listens to — without touching a separate controls panel.

IN / BYPASS

Hard Bypass Switch

A slide switch in the header takes BassForge completely out of the signal path — useful for A/B comparisons or silencing the bass voice mid-session.

DRY THRU

Split Stereo Routing

Bass on the left channel. Dry guitar on the right. Loop them independently in LoopyPro without extra routing setup.

DRY THRU

Bass and guitar.
On separate channels.

Activate DRY THRU and BassForge splits its stereo output: processed bass on the left channel, your original dry guitar on the right. In LoopyPro, route those channels to separate loop tracks and record bass and guitar in a single take — no second pass, no overdub.
