About
FOLD gives you instant control over stereo width and a one-tap mono collapse — plus a live phase correlation meter that tells you in real time whether your mix is safe on mono speakers, earbuds, and phones. Use it at the end of a signal chain, inside a DAW, or as a standalone utility.
Controls
WIDTH
Continuously variable from mono to full stereo. Drag the knob or tap to enter an exact value. Changes are smoothed to prevent clicks.
MONO
Instantly collapses your stereo signal to mono with a click-free ramp. Check mono compatibility at any point in your session without interrupting playback.
OUTPUT
±12 dB gain stage after width processing. Compensate for perceived loudness shifts when narrowing a wide mix or summing to mono.
PHASE CORRELATION METER
A real-time bar and numeric display updated at 30 Hz. Color-coded green, amber, and red so you know the status at a glance — no guessing.
Phase Correlation
The correlation meter measures the relationship between your left and right channels in real time. Green means your mix will translate cleanly to mono. Amber flags partial cancellation. Red means something will disappear — or worse, invert — when your listener's phone speaker kicks in.
